1. We’ve been using blogs a lot in college to submit weekly assignments and see what others are writing, etc. How easy is it to use blogs at the high school level? I've known of some teachers who have been able to implement it in class, but are these rare cases?
ReplyDelete2. I want to be able to have free-writing in my class. Am I going to run into problems if I have to submit a lesson plan and free-writing is listed as a 10 minute activity? Does anyone (you or anyone you know) use free-writing? What about free-writing for homework?
3. How do you decide on how you’re going to assess writing? Does it depend on the class each year as you get to know your students, or do you have a set method that you use each year?
4. Do we really have to teach the cliche 5 paragraph essay? Is this still the writing approach all students are encouraged to take?
